I saw this on my facebook page today and thought I would add this to my blog. It's still true stuff about me.
25 random things about Anne-Marie
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU. (To do this, go to "notes" under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish) I never do these things, but I have had lots of friends request it, so here goes!
1. I think it’s cute that my husband loves Texans (people, culture, and food) as much as I do. I’m proud to have lived there the first 8 yrs of my life.
2. The time can’t come quick enough for me to show my family the Canary Islands. I miss the warmth, the rain, and even the fuh-reezing nights without heating in the apts at night. I miss drying my clothes on a line on our roof. The sound of the birds first thing in the morning along with fresh bread at your door. Getting letters under the door after coming home at night. Eating “ropa vieja” and “potaje”. The love of the people. The sound of the waves crashing as I go to sleep and wake up in the morning. And the beautiful flowers, mountains, banana trees, and hillsides God made that I finally noticed and appreciated in a different light.
3. I wish I could travel all over the world to see and experience life as it exists everywhere. I long to do that!
4. I love it when friends and/or family come over.
5. I always have a to-do list that’s FOREVER long. Even though I’m continually plugging along at it, it never seems to go away. Eg: Scrapbooking. It will get done when?
6. I love the feeling of accomplishment…you know….when something finally gets checked off the to-do list!?
7. I love reading stories, playing games, playing ball outside, bike riding, running, hiking, doing puzzles, coloring, etc. with the kids and family. I do look forward to the kids’ nap times for some down time though.
8. I love seeing my kids learn new things (and them get excited about it). Their smiles and laughter are priceless.
9. I truly appreciate all the things my husband, Ian, has taught me as we’ve grown together. I love talking with him and love how well he listens to me (most of the time ).
10. My dream toys would be to have a couple ATVs, a ski boat, a tent trailer, and great backpacking gear. (and tickets to the Oprah show…does that count?)
11. I have to exercise first thing in the morning (after I get Abby to school) or else I most likely won’t do it. If I have to do it later, I’ll stress about it all day until I do.
12. I was so excited to start exercising again after being pregnant and having two boys almost 14 months apart that I quickly started running again (pushing them in a jogging stroller), did a 12K up Angel Island, a half marathon in Sacramento, and a mini triathlon last year. LOVED it…and can’t wait to do a marathon and/or more races for fun and a challenge.
13. I always want to try new things or do it all at least once…from bungee jumping and new camping sites to new foods and hair cuts. I am forever trying to find the right hair cut.
14. I am inspired by my (and other) children’s prayers and actions.
15. I love holidays…. Any excuse to do something fun either with or for the kids, with the family, just me and Ian, or with friends.
16. I don’t like to tell people how long I’ve played piano or soccer or even how long I’ve spoken Spanish because I’m not very good. But I love ‘em all.
17. I enjoy watching TV with Ian after the kids go to bed.
18. I love food (especially cookies) and trying new foods except for (generally) fish, mushrooms, olives, and too much curry.
19. I love to bake! And like cooking generally. I somehow keep trying new things on guests when really, I shouldn’t ‘cuz I usually mess it up without having tried it out first…..
20. I can’t stay inside all day without getting grouchy.
21. I didn’t/don’t have a sister (4 wonderful brothers) and have since especially loved and treasured the girl friendships I’ve made over the years starting way back in Elementary. I love laughing and catching up with them.
22. I don’t have aspirations (nor dream ) for a huge house, just a house of my own (with enough room for privacy, but no room for kids to hide).
23. I like healthy spiritual challenges.
24. I find that I end up saying too many things that I shouldn’t and then worry about it WAY too much.
25. I love massages!!!
